Founded in 1991, it has been guided by a professional team of recognized value: Martí Marin, Elisenda Carrasco, Oriol Castanyer, and a series of national and foreign collaborators who have contributed their experience throughout these years. The Sant Cugat Children’s Choir has performed throughout Catalonia and Spain. In 1995 he began his projection abroad invited by “La Cigale de Lyon” and since then his tours have taken him to perform in France, Italy, England, Hungary, Croatia, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden , Canada, Finland, Estonia, Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey…
The CISC has made several disc recordings, among which the CDs “Fantasia de Nadal” (1994), “La volta al món amb les nostres cançons” (1999), “Música religiosa” (2002) and “Perfect songs” should be highlighted. (2005), and “Music of the 20th Century” (2009).
Among the awards and distinctions the choir has received, the Silver Diploma at the Competition in Giessen, Germany (1997), the 4th prize and the 2nd prize at the International Competition in Cantonigròs, Catalonia (1999 and 2000), the 3rd prize at the 37th International Choir Competition in Toulouse, Basque Country (2005), silver diploma at the Cantemus International Competition in Nyiregiháza, Hungary (2006) and 3rd prize in the II International Choir Festival in Malgrat de Mar, Catalonia (2007), Gold medal and mention for Best Children’s Choir in the Cantemus International Competition in Nyiregiháza, Hungary (2008), 3rd prize in the 41st International Choir Competition in Toulouse, Basque Country (2009), Gold Medal and Special Foundation Award Cantemus in the International Cantemus Competition in Nyiregihaza, Hungary (2010) and First Prize in the Habaneras International Youth Competition in Torrevieja (2018).
